The Harvest

Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come. And He was saying to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. - Luke 10:1-2

The Lord Jesus Christ is calling people to Himself. He has sent out His followers to be His witnesses in this world. Yet, He says we should call on Him and ask Him to send more workers. Our world is hurting and desperate for Good News; news that comes from Christ. Let us together call upon Him to move the hearts of people to be His witnesses in a dark and hurting world.

I am praying for these cities. They are places where I have family and friends; many who need to know Jesus. I cannot be in all of these places, but I can ask the Lord to send workers into these cities.

Would you like me to pray for your city? Would you like to join me in praying?

Lord, you have promised that if we ask for workers, you will send them. Therefore, move the hearts of the people in these cities so that they would be your witnesses in this dark world. Amen.
